Lovely Little Shelf

1. In wonderful news, I am over halfway done with my NaNo novel! Today I hit 28,000 and am just trucking right along. My writing hours are kind of crazy (4:30 a.m. anyone?) but it seems to be working for me. If you want to look at my little stats page that I’m obsessed with, here ya go.

2. In even more wonderful news, my friend Jessica got an agent! She has been such an inspiration, just plugging along on her novel for three years and after one, that’s right ONE query, she’s officially agent-ed. Yay! Read her big news here, then enter her big giveaway! When this bad boy get published (notice I say WHEN!) I’m going to pimp it out something fierce on here, so you guys may as well get to know Jessica now.

3. This weekend we are dog/house/baby sitting for friends of ours that are going out of town. They have three boys between the ages of 9 and 13 and two labs. Crazy weekend, here we come! Izey LOVES their house (they have a piano and a kid sized guitar) and their dogs, and of course the boys. He should be pretty pre-occupied this weekend so I’m looking forward to that. I have plans to leave Shaun with all four boys and come home and get some writing done on Saturday morning… other than that, I may be kind of off the grid. Send your calming vibes my way. I’ll be needing them.

4. I just finished reading Swimming to Antarctica. I’ll review it later, but let me just tell you, it is a cold book. Then I got up this morning and it had snowed. Brrrrr. I need some hot chocolate.
