Lovely Little Shelf

1. I’m eating oatmeal right now. Since I decided to lose a little bit of the 15 extra pounds that’s all sung around me, I’ve had this for breakfast. It’s been about a month. It never gets old for me. I love it with brown sugar or with a little bit of peanut butter. So yummy and oh so healthy. This is your weight loss tip of the day. (BTW, I’m down about 5 pounds!)

2. This past weekend was Trunk or Treat at our church. Everyone decorates the back of their car and the kids trick or treat in the parking lot. I know it sounds strange, but it’s really fun. This year, we decorated our car like a carnival and it was a blast. It is also our excuse to dress Izey up. We DIYed him a bird costume the night before and it turned out adorable. Unfortunately, he was on the move the entire time so we didn’t get any great pictures of him, but here is juts a little taste of our bird-boy:

3. I bought a spa package with friends once on Living Social and the place we went to was a dump and was scary and our manicures looked like crap. Now I’m a little scared of Groupon and Living Social. There have been a couple of deals lately that look good, but I’m always afraid that they are at gross little places. Thoughts? Success stories? Bad manicure stories?

4. I got my first little winter cold this week. Yuck. For the first time in 2 years I’m not pregnant or breastfeeding so I got to take a Benadryl and oh my word… best thing ever. That’s all.

5. I begged Shaun last night to pack up our stuff so we can move to a warmer climate before winter kicks into gear. We had our first frost last night and it’s been too cold or rainy to play outside for a couple of weeks. Izey and I are already getting stir crazy. We’re going to need a LOT of “rainy day” activities, folks, so if you have good ones please let me know!
