So, I know I brag about my shelves all the time. I love them.
But I’m thinking about changing them.
I’ll pause for the gasps.
Ok, ya back with me?
Great. I love them being organized by color, and I’m going to keep them organized by color, but sometimes I think that the shelves don’t totally look cohesive. I have 4 shelves, so you really have to stand far back to get the full effect…. and I live in a bitty apartment.
Here is what they look like right now:

The only difference is that now there are about 2.5 shelves worth of black books lined at the top between bookends.
Here is kind of what I’m thinking:
See? I kind of like that vertical look versus the horizontal look.
My only real fear is that I am constantly adding new books and it maybe be a little tougher to add books and they could start looking kind of out of whack quickly.
So I need your thoughts? Leave them as-is or switch it up?

I love the vertical coloring! Which is really all I wanted to say because I’m unhelpful and agree that it would be difficult to add books with limited space
Go ahead and switch them up! Live dangerously
I am digging the vertical look because the anal person inside me thinks that it would be easier to line up the books by height as well vertically.
I really like the vertical
I love the verticle, so interesting indeed. Go for it.
