Announcing: Book Review-a-thon!

I don’t know if all of you are like me, but for whatever reason I can read books way faster than I can get the reviews up over here.

This is kind of embarrassing, but right now I’m about 20 reviews behind.  I just have this big, daunting list that laughs at me from the side of my desk.  I hate that list.

The thing is, while this is a book review blog it is not strictly a book review blog.  I like sharing book related fun and just chatting about books in general. I try to get up 2 or 3 reviews a week, but I guess I read quicker than that, I don’t know.

Anyway!  I need to get caught up! And I bet you do too. So let’s do this.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

  • August 14th-20th
  • 7 days, at least 7 book reviews
  • Grab the fun little badge and put it at the top of each review
  • Sign up at the bottom of this post, and come back each day of the review-a-thon to add your review to the daily linky list

I’ll remind you guys about this again in the days leading up to the Review-a-thon and try to have some fun little giveaway for people who complete all seven days!

    I am 24 reviews behind (2 of them DNF). Feel better now? :) I may sign up closing to the date to see how I am doing… the main reason I fall behind is that I got busy at work, so I still have time to read, but not blog much. Hopefully after this week I’ll have more time…

    I hope that you can Christa! I think that I’ll try to write most of mine early and schedule them. I used to be really good about this, but as I get busier, that is one of the first things to go!

    Thank God for this idea. I have four awesome books I’ve finished and have had little to no motivation to review them. Hopefully this will get me back on track!!!

    I hope I am not to late to sign up, but if I am, I think I will participate anyway :) At least it will be enough incentive for me to get caught up on my reviews.
