Lovely Little Shelf

July: To Be Read Shelf

Third month in a row of downsizing!  Woo hoo!

I even went to one of my favorite indie bookstores yesterday and only bought Isaac new reading material. For real.

I did end up purchasing a couple of books this month, but I think it was only 2 and one of them is the presidential biography that I’m going to read this month.  I am actually proud of myself.

Here’s what I had last month and here’s what we’re looking at now:

It is strange though:  I read 12 or 13 books in June but my shelf doesn’t look THAT much more cleared off…

Maybe they were all little skinny books, I don’t know ;) Regardless, this is improvement and I feel good about it.

How about you? Is summer reading helping your TBR pile or are garage sales making it grow and grow?

No, unfortunately second hand bookstores, garage sales and my weekly bookswaps with my best friend aren’t doing anything to lower my TBR list – it keeps getting longer and longer (or taller?). Deep, deep sigh. Still, I’m excited that I HAVE things that are still to be read – funny as that sounds.
