Lovely Little Shelf

Book Blog Hop (20)

Good morning!  It was sunny here yesterday, and I have to say: I feel like a new person.  Isaac and I took a nice long walk, played at the park and had the windows open all day.  It was amazing.  It’s funny, he was born in August, so by the time he was old enough to really get outside, it was too cold for us to put him in the grass or let him explore.  Because we’ve had awful weather this year, yesterday was the first time that he’s gotten down in the grass and crawled around by himself.  He was crazy with happiness.  He discovered this tree with little white flowers on it and seriously just stared and stared.  It’s like he couldn’t believe that he could get this close to it.  It is so fun to “re-discover” the world through the eyes of my little guy.

Anyway!  I could go on about him all day long.  On to the blog hop!

If you aren’t familiar, the Book Blog Hop is hosted by Jenn over at Crazy for Books and is just a chance to get new visitors to your blog and, in turn, check out a bunch of great new blogs.  I’ve found some of my favorite book blogs this way and get so exited every week to find new ones.

The question this week is: Which book blogger would you most like to meet in real life?

Ohh, tricky. Making me pick favorites. That is so hard!

There are a handful of book bloggers who I would do just about anything to meet.  They are mostly girls that I know through my online book club.  For whatever reason a big group of us all found the board at once, around late summer in 2008.  We all clicked automatically and have become really close and much more than “online friends” or even “book club friends.”  I do, in fact, consider them my “in real life” friends although we haven’t met.

Here are just the first few that I thought of:

Julie from Book Hooked.  This is the first Julie is hearing of it, but Shaun and I have been in serious talks about coming down her way for the Decatur Book Festival this year.  If that happens, I will likely die of happiness before I even get there. Squee!

Angel from An Everyday Angel. Love her and want to meet her big time.

Jessica at Jessica Love Writes.  Ok, so this is a writing blog.  She used to be a book blogger and she talks about books on her blog still, so I’m counting it. So there.

Jennie at Life is Short. Read Fast. I’ll be honest, while I really want to meet Jennie, I REALLY want to meet her little daughter! :) If say you know a cuter little girl, I won’t believe it for a minute.

Jenny at What the Blog? Ok, so she doesn’t talk books much anymore.  Because she has triplets. And I want to meet all 4 of them. Now.

Crystal at Crystal Clear Reading. Several of the girls from our online book club just got to get together for the LA Times Festival of books.  Crystal was one of them. I was jealous to the max.

You know what, I’m just going to stop.  I could go on and on all day.  If you are one of the girls that I adore, you know who you are.  Please don’t feel slighted.  Know that I have cupcakes in the oven and a baby destroying the living room and I just need to get going :)

Also, how does Gail not have a book blog?  We should probably peer pressure her into doing that, if for no other reason than to post Madison Mondays in a save-able place…

Again, if you’re here from the Hop, thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment with a link to your blog and I’ll be sure to repay the visit!

Julie seems like she would totally be fun. I’ll bring the tea and the cupcakes will be fab :-)

I am, indeed, talking about coming!

I second Jessica’s comment that we would totally have the best time. I got to meet her last weekend when it was hot, we were sunburned, and I still thought she was great. I’m sad we didn’t actually get to hang out.

    Crystal very much is awesome-to-the-max.

You and I are so meeting sometime this year, though.
