Happy Friday! We are in our hometown today through Sunday celebrating Easter with our families. Right now we are at my in-laws’ house and they cannot get enough of Isaac… he is pretty cute, I guess. We’re going to take him to meet the Easter Bunny tomorrow, so that’s pretty exciting. Mostly it’s just nice that Shaun gets Good Friday off and I get to hang out with my little family and our big family for three straight days.

If you aren’t familiar, the Book Blog Hop is hosted by Jenn over at Crazy for Books and is just a chance to get new visitors to your blog and, in turn, check out a bunch of great new blogs. I’ve found some of my favorite book blogs this way and get so exited every week to find new ones.
The question this week is: If you find a book that you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?
I guess my answer for this one is “sometimes.” I do tend to re-read authors that I’ve enjoyed in the past, but I don’t like reading one author back-to-back. I find that I just get bored and end up not enjoying it as much. If I find an author that I’m crazy about I tend to keep my eyes open for their books in the future and keep tabs on when (and if) they are coming out with anything new. I can’t remember the last time that I finished a book and immediately started to seek out the author’s other books.

If I love a book, I will definitely track down other books by the author!

If I love an author’s book, I will look for more books by the same writer. I might not read them all at once though. 1. I have too much to read already and 2. I want to savor them- not run out if the author has only written a few.
I made the mistake of reading a whole bunch back to back – now I take the time to read a few in between. I always enjoy them more that way.

I have to say that I found your answer quite interesting, as that hasn’t (yet) happened to me. I can usually manage to read the same author straight for a while, unless I just really don’t like the other books she/he has come out with.
