One of my hobbies that I’ve basically given up since having Isaac is quilting. I really enjoy it and love the finished product, but to be honest I don’t have enough free time to mess with it right now… until now.
One of my friends from my book club shared this with me- a quilt from Don’t call Me Betsy- and my gears automatically started turning.
This is amazing and beautiful and really not too tough of a project. Check it out.
Each square looks like this:

and the completed quilt looks like this:

I’m in awe. This would be a great way to clear out some of my scrap pile and ease me back into quilting.
I’ll let you know if I follow through!
*Edited to add* I looked closer at the tutorial and realized that the top one is a mini quilt and is not, actually, the blocks that make up this quilt. The quilt is, in fact, a little easier than I thought. This may be my next project.

Oh Jacki, I LOVE this! I’ve only made 1 quilt before (for a baby) and there’s NO way I’d have the time, patience, or ability for this one. I can’t wait to see if you do it.
That is BEAUTIFUL! I wish I had any quilting inclinations, but I’ve never even used a sewing machine. I would die and go to heaven if I could find and pay someone to make this for me!
This is way cool. I would love to learn how to quilt someday but I’m way intimidated by it!
that looks so beautiful!
