Lovely Little Shelf

Book Blog Hop (15)

Good morning!  Hope everyone survived St. Patty’s day and is gearing up for a great weekend.  We had a pretty good week this week, minus the colds.  Somehow we made it all the way through cold and flu season without anyone getting sick and then this past week all 3 of us were sick.  It was so pathetic to see little Izey all feverish and sad, but he’s better now and we are all back on our feet.

A couple fun little pieces of business:

Isaac and Shaun are only FIFTEEN behind in their photo contest that I posted about earlier this week.  It runs until Sunday at 10 p.m. so if you haven’t voted, please, please, please go vote!  Here is the link to the contest: Baby Gizmo Mini-Me Photo Contest… and vote for the lumberjacks!

And if you haven’t been around this week, I have a pretty sweet giveaway going on.  Enter here to win a first edition, signed copy of The Wise Man’s Fear.  The drawing for this will be Tuesday morning!

On to the hop!

If you aren’t familiar, the Book Blog Hop is hosted by Jenn over at Crazy for Books and is just a chance to get new visitors to your blog and, in turn, check out a bunch of great new blogs.  I’ve found some of my favorite book blogs this way and get so exited every week to find new ones.

The question this week is: Do you read only one book at a time or do you have several going at once?

Funny that this would be the question this week.  Ninety nine percent of the time, I only have one book going at once.  Right now, however, I’m reading two.

The only time that I do two books at once is when I’m reading a non-fiction book that is dull and I need something else to read when I’m falling asleep or in the car. Right now, I’m reading my biography of Thomas Jefferson for the Presidential Challenge and it’s interesting but just not light reading.

Again, if you’re here from the Hop, thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment with a link to your blog and I’ll be sure to repay the visit!

Coming through on the blog hop.

I have no problem reading two books at a time though it does not happen often. I generally like to finish one and then start another

I usually have a handful of books going at once. Go you for reading the Presidential Challenge. I am not that good. :)

I only ever read one at a time. I think it’s because I generally think about the book I’m reading throughout the day and it’s just easier to keep my train of thought with one story line, if that makes sense? x

I don’t know how folks do it….I am amazed at how many people read more than one book at at time. :)

Hopping through. I’ve only read one bio of T. Jefferson. I thought it was okay, but I was biased since he’s not my fav president. I’m more of an Adams fan.
