The great news of this week? Yesterday it got into the 50’s and Isaac and I got to go for a walk in our neighborhood. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but I think that the last time we got to go for a walk was in late October. Five months indoors can kind of make you a crazy person. Our walk yesterday was the highlight of my week. I think it’s supposed to be nice today too so we’ll have to go out again. I’m so, so excited. Next week we’re headed to Florida for a few days and we may be able to *gasp* wear tee-shirts. I can’t frigging wait.
On to the blog hop!
If you aren’t familiar, the Book Blog Hop is hosted by Jenn over at Crazy for Books and is just a chance to get new visitors to your blog and, in turn, check out a bunch of great new blogs. I’ve found some of my favorite book blogs this way and get so exited every week to find new ones.
The question for this week is: What book would you like to see turned into a movie?
I just finished Uglies by Scott Westerfeld and I think that it would make a killer movie. I haven’t finished the series so I don’t know if the whole series is so “movieable” but I kept thinking while I was reading it that it’d be amazing. The hoards of “pretties” would be a super creepy on-screen image. Seeing all the things that we “Rusties” use presently as these archaic things would be powerful and fun (think Wall-E going through the stuff in the landfill). There’s just a lot here that would be great movie scenes, not to mention the very scriptable plot and awesome chase scenes and so on.
If this isn’t being done, someone in Hollywood needs to get on it.
*Edited to add: I just went and looked on IMBD and this is, in fact, in the works. Good work, Hollywood.*
Again, if you’re here from the Hop, thanks for stopping by! Leave a comment with a link to your blog and I’ll be sure to repay the visit!

I have heard others say that this is a good book and I think I will look forward to adding it to my to-reads shelf for the future. I like your site and will be a new follower as of today. http:/christysbookbasket.blogspot.com
I read this and realise why many enjoy the dystopian genre, its just not for me. I would probably enjoy this genre in movie format though.
I’m stopping by via the Hop. I once read only science fiction, but that was a long time ago.
Hope you will stop by, too.
Just hopped by. A movie of the Uglies would definitely be fun.
Hopping by……
I would like to see The Help when it is finished.
enjoy ur weekend

I just bought a copy of Uglies not too long ago, I really have to read it soon!
I think that a lot of YA dystopian stuff would make good movies… The Hunger Games, Matched, Forest of Hands and Teeth, etc…

Another series that I’ve been meaning to ready! From reviews I’ve read it sounds quite good, will have to get into gear and start reading!
