John Adams, by David McCullough
So this was a book I was way, way excited about reading. I have heard nothing but absolutely raving reviews of it AND it was already on our shelf… one of the few books that Shaun contributed when we merged our bookshelves. It is huge and thick so I decided to [...]

Books are cozy just by themselves, but these two reading areas from Bookshelf Porn are about the coziest little areas ever.
I love that this is color coded and there are even books up in the rafters. Perfect.

The Book: Baby Laughs: The Naked Truth About the First Year of Mommyhood
The Story: Pretty simple: Jenny McCarthy made a lot of dough off of her first book, Belly Laughs, and figured that she should keep on riding that train.
She talks a lot about the big things that parents deal with in the first year: [...]

Someone sent me this video shortly after it was on Portlandia, but I forgot all about it.

One kid, Equality ###, can see the craziness in this and realizes that something is wrong, but he [...]

In honor of the NASCAR season starting and the fact that I know that little bit of news, I bring you a wonderful little comic!
Don’t judge! My parents are in Daytona for the race. They’re the real deal. Check out this picture. Jack Daniel’s lamp? Check. Dale Earnhart banner? Check. Awesome.
Thanks, Drew, for incorporating Ayn [...]

The great news of this week? Yesterday it got into the 50’s and Isaac and I got to go for a walk in our neighborhood. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but I think that the last time we got to go for a walk was in late October. Five months indoors can kind [...]
