Lovely Little Shelf

Book Blog Hop (9)

Oh my word.  This is the kind of week the phrase “Thank God it’s Friday” was created for.  It’s been a tough one.  Isaac got his first tooth early in the week and is working on another one, which means very little sleep for our little household this week.  Part of me feels bad for him, but mostly I just want him to sleep! ;) We’re also looking at pretty awful weather up here in northeastern Ohio and cabin fever is setting in in a big way.  Spring, I cannot wait for you to show your face.  Too bad it’s only January. Ah well, we have a Florida vacation planned for February! I’m counting the days!

Anyway!  Along with the weekend being touch-ably close, Fridays also mean the Book Blog Hop!  Woo hoo! If you aren’t familiar, the Book Blog Hop is hosted by Jenn over at Crazy for Books and is just a chance to get new visitors to your blog and, in turn, check out a bunch of great new blogs.  I’ve found some of my favorite book blogs this way and get so exited every week to find new ones.

The question this week is: “What book are you most looking forward to seeing published in 2011?  Why are you anticipating that one?”

This is an easy one for me.  I rarely buy new books but I’m flipping out excited for The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss.  Pre-ordered, coming to my door on release day.  So excited! As you guys have noticed if you’ve been around for any length of time, I try to get everyone I come into contact with to read his first book The Name of the Wind.  It’s amazing and one of the best books I’ve read in the last few years.  I read it awhile back and the date of the second one kept getting pushed back over and over… and now it’s finally, really here!  It comes out in mid-March and I already warned Isaac and Shaun that I will be a pretty worthless mom/wife for a few days.  Eek!

Again, if you’re here from the Hop, thanks for stopping by!  Leave a comment with a link to your blog and I’ll be sure to repay the visit!

I know what you mean about winter. Of course, I live in Wayne County, Ohio and it hasn’t been too bad for us yet. I still can’t wait till spring arrives!

I haven’t read Patrick Rothfuss yet. I hope that you enjoy The Wise Man’s Fear when you finally get to read it! I pre-ordered the book I can’t wait for too. I will have to check out The Name of the Wind. I’ve seen it mentioned on other blogs as well.

Teething is such a fretful time. I found some wonderful powders that little one would munch into his gums, much better than gels. Took the pain straight away. Wish I knew about them with the first 2 babies.

At least u have Florida to break up the next few months until we see that sun.

    enjoy ur weekend

The book I’m most expecting in 2011 is by an author I crossed off my “Favorite author” list.

He’s back on that list now.

Who’s the author? Raymond Feist? What’s the book? A Kindgom Besieged.

Hop on over to my website to read all about it – http://www.howardsherman.net

!!! I picked the same book! I’m so excited – so many fellow bloggers have come by and said “Oh, I don’t really like fantasy” or that they’ve never heard of it. I’m glad I’m not the only one super-excited about this!
