Woo Hoo!  Another week of the blog hop.  I can absolutely not believe that it’s Friday again.  This past week has went by in a blur. Thank God for the book blog hop for reminding me that not only has another week passed but that it’s time for another weekend! Yay!

If you aren’t familiar, the Book Blog Hop is hosted by Jenn over at Crazy for Books and is just a chance to get new visitors to your blog and, in turn, check out a bunch of great new blogs.  I’ve found some of my favorite book blogs this way and get so exited every week to find new ones.

The question this week is: Why do you read the genre that you do? What draws you?

I actually don’t have a primary genre that I read.  There are a couple of reasons for this.  Reason #1:  I just enjoy a lot of different stuff.  I read contemporary fiction, historical fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, scary stuff, a little bit of YA, fluffy stuff… really just whatever makes it to my hand I will try out.  I get excited about truly good writing and will sometimes get on a kick if something draws me in, but I have never been one to stick to one category.  Reason #2: I get about 97% of my books second hand.  Thrift stores, used book stores, and library sales supply my reading needs.  I think when you get your books that way you just learn not to be incredibly picky.  So there ya go.
