Lovely Little Shelf

If you haven’t seen this site, go check it out immediately.

It’s called “Forgotten Bookmarks” and it is pretty  much amazing.

The person who runs the site has a used bookstore and finds stuff stuffed inside of books all the time.  New stuff is added pretty frequently and I cannot get enough of it.

Some of the things are funny or embarrassing or just downright sad.

Here are a couple of my faves:

I don’t know why I like this one so much, I just think it’s so cute and quaint.  I love to look through old cards and valentines and stuff at antique stores too. I think that they are so charming and this one falls into that category too.

I love to think that the girl who was reading this book snuck this picture of her crush on the bus because she was too nervous to get a picture of his face, and then she just kind of obsessed over this picture and used it as her bookmark in this amazing Olsen twins book.

I think the best thing I ever found was a picture of a little kid drinking a full bottle of wine.  Sad and also hilarious.
