So, for a person with a ton of books, organization is a real problem sometimes.
As most of you know, I’ve chosen to organize by color. For me, this really works. I am kind of color-minded and can grab any book you ask for in about 10 seconds. It looks beautiful and functions well with my brain.
However, when some people see it or hear that that’s how I organize they are surprised or kind of roll their eyes.
So my question for you is this: How do you organize your books?
I know some people that organize alphabetically by author or title. Some people organize straight up Dewey Decimal system, but that would really blow my mind. I’ve heard of people organizing by genre or subject. Some people just divide fiction from non-fiction… and then there are, to me, the truly crazy who just throw them all on some shelves.
I want to hear your thoughts on this and what works for you and why!

My biggest bookcase is done by color. I also have one with ARCs I need to read. The rest are just put on any which way. I really really need to get them organized.
