Lovely Little Shelf

So I have my Google Reader set up with about 30 or 40 different blogs that I really like.  Almost all of them are book blogs. I really love to see what other people are reading, what they thought and what fun blog-related stuff they’re up to.  I generally tend towards blogs that post frequently- every day or every couple of days and are visually appealing. I don’t really mind what genre of books is being reviewed because I like to know about what’s going on in the book world in general.

I realized today as I was going through my reader that I don’t think I’ve ever pimped out these blogs to my readers.  So here ya go, my favorite book blogs in no particular order:

Book Hooked- Julie covers a broad range of books, which I really like.  She really branches out there and my pile of books to read has gotten bigger as a result! She also has great giveaways and ARC tours, which is fun.

Forever Young- Jessica reads almost primarily YA books.  She is a high school English teacher and I’m incredibly jealous of the kids that are in her class. She’s totally passionate about reading and it’s contagious.  A fun, light blog. She too has great giveaways.

Geeb’s Book Club- Of all the blogs I read, Lauren probably has a taste in books that is most similar to mine.  I love seeing what she’s reading then reading the exact same thing!

The Many Thoughts of a Reader- This one isn’t just books, but it’s all good stuff.  Her post today made my mouth water, so there ya go.

book-a-rama- Chris has been book blogging for a few years, so her archives are extensive.  I generally love the books she choses to read and like seeing the challenges she’s participating in.  I’m not a big “challenge participant” but I do think they’re kinda cool and like to see what’s happening there.

An Everyday Angel- Again, not just books, but all good stuff.  She’s recently been very open about her struggles with depression and it’s been incredible to see her journey.  We tend to read different books I think, but I love reading her thoughts on the books she is reading.

Crystal Clear Reading- While Crystal does read quite a bit of YA, there is a real variety here.  She does great giveaways and is pretty loyal to Flashback Friday, which I, of course, love!

Books By Their Cover- The header for this blog is darling and they give a letter grade based on cover with every review they do.  What’s not to love?

Always, Always Reading- I almost peed my pants with excitement when Kennedy decided to do a book blog along with her general blog.  I loved her general blog, but I admit, I love her book blog so much more.  She reads great books and mixes it in with articles and thoughts about reading and books. Love it, love it, love it.

What the Blog?- This is another of the “not just book” blogs, but I am slightly obsessed with it.  She also takes a picture a day and posts it online and I can’t get enough.  Great, fun to read blog.
