Lovely Little Shelf

So I realized last week that I was coming upon a pretty momentous occasion- post number 100. Pretty big deal, right? Right.

I headed to ol’ Barnes and Noble to pick out something just for you, my loyal readers.  I picked out the newest edition of America’s Best Non-Required Reading for a couple of reasons.  First off, the cover is awesome.  An older lady and a little girl looking through a gun catalogue? Perfection.  But seriously, these books are always pretty amazing. I haven’t read this one yet but I’ve probably read the last 3 or 4 years’ editions and just loved them.  They are always chock full of fun stuff- this one has Best American Festival Names, Best American New Band Names, Best American Craigslist Offers, and other crazy stuff up front.  The last half is more “serious” stuff- short stories, articles, whatever.  If you’ve never read one of these collections, you are totally missing out.
