Bookish Thoughts: Border’s Closing

Not that I’m HAPPY that the economy is kinda tanking, but guess who got a pile of brand new books!!

The Border’s in Akron, for whatever reason, was never as popular as our Barne’s and Noble.  It’s shocking because their workers were more knowledgeable, their chairs were more comfortable, and their coffee tasted better… but alas, they are no more.  Sunday was their last day, so we went the week before and cleaned up.  Shaun got a couple of expensive computer books, so he was happy… and I got all this!

Broken by Daniel Clay

A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller

The Things We Carried by Tim O’Brian

What The Dead Know by Laura Lippman

Skeletons at the Feast by Chris Bohjalian

Cash by Johnny Cash

So fun and exciting.   Farewell, Border’s.  Thanks for going out with a bang.

Found you through The Nest… if you’re still looking for a Border’s in the Akron area, the one in Cuyahoga Falls on Howe is still open. That’s the one we frequent! I hadn’t noticed any full Borders stores closing, just the Borders Express stores. Always a bummer when good stores close!
